thecontractor.app exists because we saw contractors — talented tradespeople who can build, fix, and create incredible things — drowning in paperwork. Typing quotes on their laptop at 10 PM. Chasing payments via text message. Losing jobs because they couldn't respond fast enough.

We built the app we wished existed: one that handles the business side of contracting so you can focus on the work. Not another bloated enterprise tool designed for companies with 50 technicians and an office manager. Something simple, fast, and powerful enough for a solo pressure washer and their truck.

Why AI?

We added AI to thecontractor.app because the biggest bottleneck we saw wasn't scheduling or invoicing — it was quoting. Contractors were spending 20-30 minutes writing each quote manually, and by the time they sent it, the customer had already hired someone faster.

Our AI writes professional quotes in about 60 seconds. It knows the difference between pricing a driveway by the square foot and pricing a plumbing repair by the hour. It generates the scope of work, the line items, and the pricing — and the contractor reviews, tweaks if needed, and sends.

The result: contractors using AI quoting respond to leads faster, send more professional quotes, and win more jobs. Not because the AI is smarter — but because speed and professionalism are what customers value most.
